[00:07] Question 1: I teach at a preschool. Is it permissible to make a small model of the Kaba as a craft activity to teach the children about Hajj. This is just to bring awareness as many are non- Muslims. There would not be any role-playing of tawaf etc. [1:15] Question 2: Shaykhana, here in our non-Muslim country we have a very good relationship with the government and the Chief Minister of our town. Is it permissible to invite him to our Eid khutbah and celebrations at the masjid? Also, would it be allowed for him to address the Muslims outside the masjid to congratulate them on this festive day or should we invite him just to witness and partake in the celebration without speaking. [2:32] Question 3: Our Masjid in on 20,000 Sq Ft of land. The masjid is on one half of the land and there is huge, empty field on the other half. Should we perform the Eid Salah in that open land or should we go to an open field on the outskirts of the town? [3:37] Question 4: Is it allowed to have free games on the day of Eid in which prizes are given for those who win. [6:53] Question 5: Is it allowed to decorate outside the masjid compound for Eid day? This would be the field and tents outside NOT the masjid structure itself. [11:01] Question 6: When we are praying eid prayer, do we raise hands on all those times the Imam says “Allahu Akbar” or do we raise them only once at the beginning of the prayer. [11:42] Question 7: A sister lives in a western country and found the price of udhiya was too expensive. Her father and family members are going to sacrifice in a different country where the udhiya is cheaper. Can she contribute financially to her father’s udhiya even though she is in a different country? [13:40] Question 8: We live near a small salafi masjid and all praise is for Allāh. The community is too small to pray Eid salah in the salafi masjid so we pray at the closest regular masjid. What advice can you give for us to build this growing community, so there can be more of a jama’ah on the day of the Eid and outside Eid. [16:32] Question 9: If a cow is sacrificed by a single person, how should the meat be distributed? [18:13] Question 10: Concerning the face veil on hajj. I’ve seen the sisters wear abayas with the extra piece sewn or pinned to the top of the abaya that drapes over the face. When I do this, I can barely see in front of me and I am afraid of falling. Can I pull the sides of my abaya over my face with my eyes exposed? or must the face covering only drop over my face from the head. [19:26] Question 11: I’m delayed in getting a hajj package but I reside in Saudi Arabia. I wish to do hajj tamattu’. If I receive a package on the 7th of Dhul Hijjah can I still do at tamattu or what do you advise? [22:41] Question 12: Dear Shaykh. After paying for my hajj package, I was informed that it don’t include Udhhiyyah. I need to pay for this separately but I don’t have the complete cost. What can I do? [24:32] Question 13: An older woman became muslim. She is unmarried with no children and no Muslim relatives. She wishes to perform Hajj, but has no mahram. Is she excuse from the condition of having a mahram inorder to perform Hajj? [26:11] Question 14: A womans 12 year old son will accompany her on hajj. He has reached the age of puberty but is still very immature and playful. Would his hajj suffice him? Or would he need to repeat to fulfil this pillar?
