Ustādh Abū Afnān Muḥammad ʿAbdullah explains the permissibility of splitting the night prayer in Ramaḍān by praying the Tarāwīḥ after ʿIshā’ and then returning a few hours later to pray more, with the condition of making the witr the last prayer. He mentions the statements of some of the scholars who stated that the majority of the fuqahah hold its permissibility, as well as it being authentically attributed to some of the salaf like Anas ibn Mālik, Qatāda and others.
